Ford De Luxe Victoria 1933

General description : It's always great when a well-done street rod rolls in to our RK Motors Charlotte showroom. Unlike muscle cars and sports cars, which can be somewhat homogenous, custom cars are created around the cornerstones of a true enthusiast's psyche: GO FAST and LOOK GOOD. And when you build a classic around those two principles, you either go big or go home. With proven power, modern motivation, big comfort and great looks, this super cool Ford pretty much lives that motto. And if you're the kind of buyer who's ready to cruise the scene and turn heads, it's the sorted classic you've been waiting for! SLICK AS GLASS The leading edge of a comprehensive, ground-up build that was shepherded by a NASCAR crew chief, this Ford's BeBop's Glass Works body is the kind of profile that would turn heads in primer. So, what better way to ensure sore neck muscles than adding vivid paint and traditional-style mods? Passion Red two-stage kicks off with an aluminum grille, which deeply contrasts traditionally black fenders. At the front of those fenders, a polished bumper leads polished Ford Twolites, which reflect a steel, 4-piece hood. Behind that stainless-trimmed hood, classy mirrors reflect a chopped and tinted greenhouse that's cleared by polished wipers. At the sides of that greenhouse, traditional handles swivel trick Suicide Doors. And at the back of the car, a second polished bumper guards a massaged valance, polished Megs exhaust tips and stainless-trimmed LED taillights. FORD IN A FORD Fold this Vic's louvered hood and you'll find 302 cubic inches of proven Ford power that's good for cruising or storming! At the top of that mill, a polished Ford Racing air cleaner centers a trick Ford Racing wingnut above a reusable filter element. That filter funnels breeze through a Lokar-controlled Holley that's sequenced, via stainless lines, to a shock proof Marshall gauge and a polished Holley regulator. That coated carb floods a lightweight aluminum intake, which frames a hot MSD Pro-Billet distributor that's snapped to loomed Moroso Blue Max plug wires. Polished Ford Racing valve covers prop polished breathers and trick Ford ties opposite lightweight aluminum heads and coated block hugger headers. A Billet Specialties Tru Trac component drive spins an aluminum water pump between a polished alternator and a polished AC compressor. Cooling comes courtesy of a big aluminum radiator, which is accompanied by corrugated hoses, a small pusher fan and a big SPAL puller fan. And the car's mirror-clad engine bay is clean and well done, with niceties like hidden electrical and hidden AC lines highlighting details like polished fluid reservoirs and trick dipsticks. TOP NOTCH FROM THE GROUND UP Under this impressive custom, a dressed Ford AOD 4-speed kicks a 9-inch rear end, which spins a posi-traction differential around 4.11 gears and 31-spline axles. That proven pumpkin pushes a custom chassis, which seats a quartet of coil-over-shocks in tubular control arms. Turns are tight thanks to power rack-and-pinion steering. Safety is greatly improved by power-assisted Wilwood calipers. A high-octane soundtrack is provided by glasspack-style mufflers, which are threaded into Mandrel-bent tubes. And at the corners of the floor, polished Boyd Coddington blades spin 195/60R15 Goodyear Eagle RS-As in front of 235/65R17 Goodyear Eagle RS-As. CUSTOM AND COMFORTABLE Inside this sweet sedan, class is the name of the game as tasteful, two-tone leather creates a stylish complement to the car's slick, two-tone paint. Pop the doors and you'll find contoured Krist Kustoms buckets that are both firm and supportive. Front and center, a massaged dash centers billet-trimmed VDO telemetry over controls for Vintage Air conditioning and a familiar Sunpro Super Tach. A tall Lokar shifter, trimmed in leather and LEDs, rides rich carpet that frames metal foot pedals. Sculpted side panels hang slim armrests in front of modern power windows. A roof-mounted console cradles a Sony CD player. And the driver spins a polished, banjo-style steering wheel around a polished, tilting column. Here's an excellent chance to turn someone else's hard work into your benefit. This sweet Ford is a choice custom that combines great craftsmanship with great performance! About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
