It's particularly impressive that this pickup has retained such a nice gloss and shine, because after all, these trucks were meant to be used as workhorses. The 84 has straight panels and gaps that are correct. The bumpers, grille, and trim all still shine right.
Inside is more of that time machine feeling with a few nice upgrades. It starts with the original-style bench seat that has a comfortable polyknit cloth insert in the seat. The dash is period-correct with the correct Ford steering wheel. You can even see how complete the dash is underneath the protective pad. It all makes for a great classic cruiser. The F150 has some nice options to make this feel even more comfortable: AM/FM/Cassette stereo, factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
Under the hood you have a great Ford 5.0 liter engine. The engine makes this an even better cruiser. And that's good because the whole truck has a solid feeling on the road that comes from being respected for over three decades. The C6 automatic transmission with 4-wheel drive, power steering, power front disc rear drum brakes are all part of the easy driving package.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
