Beautiful 1952 Ford F1 1/2 Ton Pickup
New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1952 Ford F1 1/2 Ton 2 Door Pickup with two-tone blue exterior paint, a Teak wooden bed and a black vinyl interior. Under the hood you’ll find a stock 289 CID V-8 engine along with a new carburetor, distributor/cap, points, condenser, wires/plugs, etc. and a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. This classic pickup is in gorgeous overall condition and it offers smooth, reliable everyday performance. It’s being sacrificed at a steal of an asking price and it will certainly find a new home quickly.
High level frame off restoration back in the 1990’s
The current owner of this 1952 Ford F1 Pickup informs us that it underwent a very high level frame off restoration back in the 1990’s and has remained garaged and covered practically ever since. He purchased it back in 2017 and went through all the mechanical s since that time, adding many new accessories and “dialing it in” as much as possible to be an incredible high end driver. The performance is exceptional on the open road and this could easily be a local business’s shop truck to turn some heads.
Additionally, this 1952 Ford F1 1/2 Ton Pickup has a beautiful Teak wood bed and very high quality paint and chrome throughout. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
