Ford Falcon 302 V8 1964

General description : INCREDIBLE FALCON, 302 V8, AUTO, COLD R134 AC, MUSTANG II, MINI-TUBBED, PS, DISC

This 1964 Ford Falcon Futura is the perfect mix of original '60s style with a healthy dose of V8 hot rod appeal. Best of all, this growling street machine even has air-conditioned comfort.
The market for Falcons is heating up. They are that perfect machine to combine vintage style, lightweight body, and a setup that's ready-made for V8 power – and this one takes all those elements and turns it up a notch. The factory-correct Prairie Tan and brown vinyl roof make for a great '60s-style color combo. And the bright chrome bumpers and complete trim (including hood ornament) give this a true classic cruiser vibe. But more than just vintage, the Future-specific arrow-like side trim and 16-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are instant indicators of a sporty total package.
Inside are more great upgrades. It starts with new high-back buckets seats with a center console in-between. These have better bolstering for all-day comfort. In fact, this Falcon is great for all-day cruising thanks to upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo and ice cold modern R134a air conditioning. And as you slip behind the upgraded three-spoke wood and chrome steering wheel and spot the upgraded auxiliary gauges, it tells your senses to get ready for something special – even before you twist the key and hear this one roar.
These second-generation Falcons topped out at 289 cubic-inches from the factory, but this one was given a larger 302ci V8. You can tell someone spent extra time and money on this presentation with the tidy setup, bright components, and even great details – like the Falcon-specific performance valve covers. And more than just appearances, you have performance upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, MSD ignition, Ford racing plug wires, and serpentine belt system. Plus, long tube headers add even more power as they contribute to the thunderous dual exhaust. It all stays running cool thanks to an aluminum radiator with large electric fan. A stout three-speed automatic transmission and power steering gets all this power to the streets. Plus, you have true control thanks to upgraded Mustang II style independent front suspension with vented disc brakes, a reinforced mini-tubbed rear with plenty of room for larger tires, and the modern grip of Yokohama Avid rubber.
This one is mean, comfortable, and powerful - that makes it a great all-around custom classic. So don't miss this deal, call today!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
