Ford Galaxie 472 ci 1963

General description : 1963 Ford Galaxie This stunning 1963 Ford Galaxie frame off build has only 500 Miles! Big Block 472ci at 525HP is a formable contender! Gorgeous '63 has under gone a full frame off build. This incredible custom BIG-BLOCK 460ci has been punched out to a monster 472ci mind blowing 525 HP that definitely delivers! What does it take to build a FORD Performance 472? Start with a Comp Cam, dual-4BBL midrise intake and yes, a true set of 429 Super Cobra Jet Heads! Fed by a Holley HP 125 electric fuel pump. Classic FORD racing cold air intake from the original front grill high beam headlight openings. MSD Billet distributor & MSD 6AL ignition breath fire. This beauty is Balanced & Blue-Printed! Just over "Brake-In" at only 500 miles. The built C6 automatic transmission with a 3000 Stall Speed is going to put you back in your seat! Not one but two aluminum heatsink transmission coolers. FORD 9" rear-end with 3.50 gears POSI 28 spline. The exceptional handling and ride quality starts with a massive front sway bar, rear adjustable coilover shocks, and Calvert Racing CalTracs Low Profile traction bars. Exhaust is expelled via custom headers and 3-inch mandrel-bent pipes, corked by Magnaflow mufflers. Set of electric fans push cool air through a high flow performance aluminum radiator plus a heavy-duty Flex fan (pull). This baby stays cool under any driving condition. The eye-catching wheel and tire combo is an obvious clue that this '63 Galaxie is much more than a nostalgic restore. The massive 235/55R17 front and 255/55R18 rear at a slight rake means business. Peeking through the American Racing Torq Thrust wheels is the stopping power of 4-wheel disc brakes with red Calipers and the shine of cross-drilled rotors made with rust-resistant zinc dichromate coating. Update master cylinder & brake booster gives the stopping power and look good doing it! For all the updated technology under the hood and undercarriage the goal was to preserve the classic '63 appearance with only a few modifications. The door handles and locks have been removed (shaved) and have keyless entry (key Fob). Keep all or most of the chrome and bright work. Note all the chrome has been perfectly replated...Beautiful. Take note of the side bright work just a slight custom touch. Giving a cleaner and slightly meaner appearance. The upholstery also has a new look from the old pleated style to a custom textured black leather combination of perforated and smooth with a custom console added between the bucket seats. The door panels were upholstered is the same custom design, with keeping classic chrome armrest & door handles. The sleek design of the '63 Galaxie dash was saved and restored with all new glass and components. Keeping all new gauges to the console. The A/C vents are nicely place under the dash. The A/C controls blend smoothly with dash looking as if stock. The full FOCAL & JL Audio system mostly is installed in the trunk is the top of the line! You couldn't build this beauty for our asking price of $78,995.00! This car is located in Edmonds, Washington.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
