General description : 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Tribute 289 C Code Air Condition Automatic Coupe
Here we have a 1966 Ford Mustang for sale. This Mustang features the iconic styling of the Shelby and has been upgraded with Air Condition as well. When you walk around it you can see that it has great body lines and features the Shelby Body kit. It has had new bumpers installed as well as a lot of the stainless trim replaced. It's covered in the Wimbledon White paint that's accented by the Blue Stripes down the hood, across the top, and over the deck lid. The paint it's done in base coat clear coat and has been sanded, buffed, and polished to a gorgeous shine that's slick as a ribbon. It also has the GT 350 Side stripes that really pulls the whole look together. All the Glass in this car is in great condition and new seals were installed at the time of restoration for the front and rear glass. Also, new window felts were installed for the side glass. To finish off this Iconic look it's sitting on the 15” Shelby Styled Wheels with Firestone Wide Oval White Letter Tires.
Next, we will look at interior of this '66. On the inside it's done in Black which provides an excellent complement to the exterior color combo. It does feature the bucket seats and console which house the Automatic Shifter. As you can see all of the seat covers are in great condition along with the carpet, door panels, and headliner. Looking at the dash all the gauges appear to be in excellent condition, and it has the rally pack gauges on the column. The dash pad is in great condition as well and you'll notice it features a Carroll Shelby, Phil Remmington, and Phil Hill signed glove box. You can also see this Mustang is set up with Air Condition. In the trunk it all looks to be rock solid and has very nice detail with the trunk mat and match spare tire cover.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it's powered by a 289 Engine that's mated to the C4 Automatic Trans and correct WCZ-E 8” Rear End with a 2.80 Gear. The engine bay has a gorgeous detail with the 289 have the Cobra Air Cleaner and Matching Mustang Valve Covers. It also has the upgraded Shock Tower Brace Kit. Along with the upgraded Air Condition this Mustang also comes with Power Steering. When you look under it you can see that all of the floor pans appear to be original and in excellent condition. Under the front all of the suspension also appear to be in great condition and you can see that it comes with drum brakes. For exhaust it has manifolds with new dual pips and new mufflers.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
