Ford Mustang 1966

General description : Description
This 1966 Ford Mustang has that ideal premium appearance on the outside. But beneath the skin are more V8 ponies for this Mustang to gallop and the control of four-on-the-floor. So this delivers on exactly what you want in a true driver's classic.
The first-generation Mustang in red is a true icon of the open road. So it really looks great with a later update that has a nice gloss in the sunlight. The sporty white rocker stripe package is a fresh addition. It joins the white vinyl top to give this coupe the all-American appeal of a Coca-Cola bottle. Good body panels, complete trim, and torque thrust-style wheels are all part of an overall package that likes to be driven and will turn a few heads out on the streets.
The two-tone style continues inside, and given this the kind of uniform style that really defines some of the best classics. And we especially like the way the red and white are intertwined on the premium "Pony" package upholstery. It's showcased nicely thanks to a more recent investment in newer seat covers. Fresh carpeting and a smooth dash also really help make this a fine place to spend some time. There's even the right upgraded, like a Bosch oil pressure gauge, and you have better driving music with an AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette. The classic wood-rim three-spoke steering wheel feels grippy in your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the stick shift.
This is a C-code Mustang, and so it's great to have a 302 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. The bold blue block, valve covers, and air topper have the stock FoMoCo look. But you can also tell there has been a larger investment in the whole engine bay. This includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor MSD ignition, MSD coil, and upgraded pulleys. The V8 fires up readily, and the headers add to the power package while still given a dignified rumble to the dual exhaust. And you have complete control over the power and soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Those upgraded alloys also allow for modern performance tires, and there's power steering and front disc brakes. So this upgraded pony car offers better power and poise.
This has the look you love of a first-gen Mustang, and it has the power you really always wanted. That makes for a terrific total package. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
