Ford Tudor 350 V8 1934

General description : What do you get when you combine the aesthetic traits of a show winning street rod with the drivability of a modern hot rod? This awesome Ford Tudor! Combining universal appeal with excellent road prowess, this slick red sedan is a professionally built custom that provides its owner with the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your show stopper and drive it too, for a fraction of the effort it takes to build a classic from the ground up. If you're an anxious buyer who's tired of the 'garage furniture' movement that seems to be pervading street rod culture, this all-steel Ford is one of the best road ready hot rods your money can buy!
BODYWORK/TRIM
So many of today's customs are built with no chance of ever being unleashed on the open road or even seeing a peaceful town street. Instead, they're paraded around on trailers, idled through parking lots and rolled in to garages. Not so with this awesome Ford, it's a super slick classic that's meant to win trophies beside show queens and burn up the roads with street warriors! The car's build began when a clean, all-steel body was bolted between fresh steel fenders and fresh steel running boards. Once that body was meticulously worked, the entire package was fully disassembled and professionally prepped for paint. And finally, in the name of great looks and universal appeal, a top notch coat of bright red base was lovingly applied, sealed in a glossy clear and buffed to an incredible shine.
The true beauty of a well-done street rod is often found in the simplicity of its execution. In a nod to the roots of hot rodding, high quality builds are usually topped with a stripped down, no-frills profile that emphasizes the car's purpose-built, high performance nature. At the front of this slick Ford, a chrome grille plants a stylish 'V8' emblem between a traditional 'Ford' script, polished Twolite headlights and a fang-like bumper. Behind that grille, a streamlined radiator cap leads a 4-piece hood, which flows to a tilting windshield that seals smoked glass inside a bright, pit-free frame. That screen rides in a chopped greenhouse, which centers a ribbed roof over smoked side glass and a smoked backlite. At the perimeter of that cab, requisite suicide doors pivot over fresh board mats. And at the back of the car, a second tubular bumper frames LED taillights, a retractable tag bracket and polished exhaust tips.
ENGINE
Fold this sedan's stainless-trimmed hood and you'll find a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 that wears a nice combination of clean paint and bright chrome. Built for effortless driving, that stalwart engine is topped by a chrome K&N air cleaner, which funnels wind in to a coated Weber carburetor that's threaded to an array of braided and stainless fuel lines. Below that carb, a chrome Edelbrock Performer EPS intake reflects chrome Edelbrock valve covers while a traditional HEI distributor fires spark through red MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Cooling for that spark is provided by a Walker radiator and familiar flex hoses. Exhaust from that spark is channeled through ceramic coated shorty headers. And the charge for that spark comes courtesy of a polished alternator that's secured by billet brackets and spun via chrome pulleys. Aesthetically, the clean and smoothed engine compartment is relatively sparse and exceptionally well-done. Naturally, that frame is finished in the same glossy red as the car's exterior panels. And the thoroughly detailed motor, along with its assortment of bright components, creates great texture and contrast.
DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION
Under this cool cruiser you'll find a solid chassis that's fully sorted and ready to roll! Behind the car's tough 350, a virtually indestructible Turbo-Hydramatic 350 sails through smooth and confident shifts. Under that 3-speed, a straight frame rides a modernized front-clip. Tight turns are provided by tubular control arms, heavy duty sway bars, and manual rack-and-pinion steering. Quick stops are provided by four power-assisted discs. Exhaust scoots through Mandrel-bent, true-dual pipes, which cage great sounding turbo mufflers. Power meets the pavement through chromed American Racing Torq Thrust IIs, which wear 195/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 235/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And not a detail was missed on the bottom of this road-ready Ford, from the car's solid floors to its high quality brake booster!
INTERIOR
Check between the doors and you'll find a spectacular leather interior that's a main highlight of the car. Customized seats feature an excellent combination of soft surfaces and firm padding. At the sides of those seats, custom door panels position small armrests amid convenient pull straps, billet door handles and buttons for the car's power windows. Below those panels, like-new carpet anchors a color-keyed emergency brake next to billet foot pedals. At the front of the car, a painted dash hangs a full assortment of Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges next to billet accessories knobs and a chrome handle for the tilt windshield. At the top of the car, a custom headliner frames a chrome mirror and a custom console, which supports modern Sony audio that kicks a combination of Sony and Pyramid Gold speakers. And the driver guides the fun through a polished wheel that laps a color-keyed rim around a polished, tilting column.
Utilizing top-notch components from some of the best names in the business, this clean Ford Tudor is a nicely finished street rod that was built to be driven AND seen. Looking for a cool, road ready custom that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Then you're looking at your next classic!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
