General description :
This fantastic Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Series 1 cabriolet was supplied to Carolyn Crawford of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 10th October 1966. Between 2007 and 2008 this car underwent a full rebuild and restoration by Hyannis Restorations. Hyannis Restorations is known for a number of Pebble Beach restorations. The splendid bodywork has straight and perfectly fitting body panels. The chrome detailing and interior trim are as good as new. Of course, the underbody is totally sound and rust-free. It has a very attractive ‘Black over Red’ finish with matching black hood, red leather tonneau and chrome wire wheels. Simply divine! This E-Type has also retained its original, Jaguar Heritage certified, matching numbers 4.2 engine. It has triple SU carburettors, 1-2-3 ignition and an extra large aluminium radiator with cooling fan. It has been classified by ‘Classic-Data’ with a so-called ‘Zustandsnote’ -1 condition. Despite the occasional low yearly mileage it has always been extremely well looked after since the restoration. This is a fantastic E-type 4.2 with a supremely fine finish!
