1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 FHC (RHD)

When introduced at the 1961 Geneva Salon, Jaguar’s E-Type stirred passions with its extremely sleek and timeless design backed by staggering performance. The newcomer’s design owed much to that of the racing D-Type. Indeed, the E-Type would be one of the last great sports cars developed directly from a successful competition ancestor.

Often called the most beautiful production car of all time, the E-Type remains an automotive icon of design, engineering and speed.

A wonderful example of the legendary Jaguar E-Type, the Fixed Head Coupe represents the purest form of the model. This matching numbers car, having enjoyed the loving care of just a few long-term owners from new, must be one of the best examples available anywhere.

This lovely E-Type Series 1 FHC is finished in one of the most elegant factory specifications of Opalescent Blue Metallic over Navy Blue leather interior. During the car’s comprehensive restoration, it was professionally converted from left to right-hand drive and has benefitted from a full, bare-metal respray and re-trim as well as an engine, gearbox and rear differential rebuild. This is also one of the latter E-Type Series 1s fitted with the massively desirable covered headlights before American mandates led to the introduction of open headlight cars, more commonly known as the E-Type Series 1 1/2.

A truly excellent example of a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type in quite arguably it’s sleekest body style, presented in great condition and in among the best colours. Not to be missed!
