Jaguar XK140 OTS 1956

General description : With the Jaguar XK 120 William Lyons set the standard. The car was an absolute sensation at the Earl's Court Motor Show in London in 1948. Developed for higher engine power the sports car was called the XK from the autumn of 1954. The car should have gone 140 mph, i.e. about 225 km/h. Designed very much like the gifted XK 120 it was technically improved in many details and has thus become pinnacle of the entire series. A sports car cannot be more of a classic than this very car.The XK 140 shown here was delivered as a left-hand drive to the US. Approved in Germany, the magnificent Roadster was until now owned by a collector. After current service, the sports car has enough power for all types of uses. Enjoy the Jaguar: driving performance like a Mercedes 300 SL but with a down to earth price.

About Jaguar XK140
The Jaguar XK140 is a sports car that was produced by Jaguar from 1954 to 1957 as a successor to the XK120. It featured a number of improvements over its predecessor, including better brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and more interior space.

Under the hood, the XK140 was powered by a 3.4-liter straight-six engine that produced up to 190 horsepower, giving it impressive performance for its time. It was available in three body styles: a roadster, a fixed-head coupe, and a drophead coupe.

One of the most notable features of the XK140 was its stunning design, which was updated from the XK120 with more refined lines and a larger grille. The car also featured a number of luxurious touches, such as leather seats and a wood-rimmed steering wheel, making it a favorite among sports car enthusiasts and luxury car buyers alike.

The XK140 was also a successful racing car, with notable wins at events such as the Monte Carlo Rally and the Alpine Rally. It was also used in endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Today, the Jaguar XK140 is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, thanks to its stunning design, impressive performance, and rich racing history.
