Lincoln Continental Mark V 1979

General description : For sale is this beautiful 1979 Lincoln Mark V is in our Louisville showroom. The owners Grandfather bought it new in 1979. The grandson has inherited this but has decided it is time to find it a new home. This great big olMark V only has 60144 miles. There are still tons of miles to be enjoyed with this one. By the time the late 70s rolled around there was a one thing cars had in common and that was size. Cars of that era were huge and this Mark V is a great example of a personal luxury car as the market was coined. Though you could get a Gran Prix, Cutlass or even a Thunderbird, none would come close to the Lincoln Mark V. The exterior is in good condition with no signs of rust and what appear to be the original panels. This 4600 LB piece of American art looks great sitting still or cruising down highway as these old boats love to do. With the Hide-away lights and chromed out front end it is easy to see why these are in such demand. Under the hood is where the gloves come off however as this Mark is not your average ride. With the tires, recently balanced and rotated the ride quality is everything you would expect. Open the door and the plush tan leather interior is inviting and is probably even more comfortable than it looks. The interior brings out the landau top and ties everything together nicely. The Personal Luxury Car market is seeing a surge in sales this Mark V should be a solid investment. About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
