General description :
In 1989 op de Chicago Auto Show introduceerde Mazda de MX-5 en de Japanners bleken hiermee een schot in de roos te hebben. Met veel enthousiasme werd de compacte roadster ontvangen en het werd een regelrecht verkoop succes. De potente motor in combinatie met de uitstekende gewichtsverdeling en aandrijving op de achter wielen zorgt voor een subliem rijgedrag. Na de jaren verstreken bleek ook de betrouwbaarheid torenhoog. De exemplaren voor de Amerikaanse markt werden Miata genoemd in plaats van MX-5 en het hier aangeboden exemplaar daar één van. Al in 1999 importeerden wij dit specifieke exemplaar uit de Amerikaanse staat Californië en al gauw melde zich een liefhebber die 20 jaar lang de auto zou koesteren en enkel onder gunstige omstandigheden heeft gereden. De algehele conditie is nog immer zeer origineel en zowel carrosserie als chassis zijn zeer gaaf en strak. Op de teller staan inmiddels nog geen 164000 mijlen wat voor de beproefde techniek een zeer nette stand is. Mooi om te zien is dat bijna alle originele fabrieksstickers nog aanwezig zijn en dat de puntlassen in de schermen achter nog intact zijn. Technisch een verzorgde en erg fijn rijdende young-timer. Het cabriodak werd al eens vernieuwd en verkeert in een keurige en eigenlijk zelfs nagenoeg nieuwe conditie. Bedrijfsinformatie: Prijswijzigingen, druk- en zetfouten voorbehouden.
