ABOUT THIS CLASSICThis 1960 Mercedes 190SL is probably the greatest bargain we were ever able to offer. The quality / price ratio on this car is just fantastic. This 190SL was body off restored some years ago. Recently the car got a full overhaul again. The car got a full technical service from top to bottom. Including a revision of its original Solex carburettors. Engine runs great and the manual gearbox shifts perfect. The Chrome trim was redone, and the car received a fresh coat of paint. The silver over red colour combination is still one of the most desirable for this model. The full red leather interior looks and feels like new. All switches and dials are present and in full working order. In short, a beautiful, correct car and a sound investment. The Mercedes 190Sl Roadster was produced from 1955 until 1963 and the first prototype was showed to the public on the New York Motor show. A year later the final production model was presented in Geneva. The 190SL was developed by Mercedes in an extremely short period of 5 months after suggestion of USA importer Max Hoffman who promised record sales in America. 25000 units where produced over the years and the 190SL has become one of the most desirable collection cars on the current market.
