Super Nice, Well-Maintained 1947 Mercury Model 76 Convertible
New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1947 Mercury Model 76 2 Door Convertible with gorgeous Maroon exterior paint and a brown leather interior. This nicely maintained classic has a Chevy 350 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, and it is very nicely equipped with power front disc brakes and an upgraded 12V electrical system. This ’47 Merc is in excellent overall condition as well and it’s an awesome value at an unbelievable asking price.
Three Owner Classic Documented Back to 1968
The current owner of this 1947 Mercury 76 Convertible purchased it in 2012 as the 3rd lifetime owner, and he informs us that the former owner provided registrations and other documents dating all the way back to 1968. As you can see from the photographs, this incredible classic is in tremendous condition and kept highly original throughout. The drivetrain, suspension and electricals have been upgraded for more reliable performance and better fuel economy, and this one can really get down the road in a hurry when prompted. It has a great feel on the open road with outstanding build quality.
Additionally, this 1947 Mercury Model 76 Roadster has a breathtaking body with almost no discernable signs of wear to be found. The paint and body lines are truly show quality with sensational metal work and period correct wheels. The interior is even more impressive with excellent gauges, metal trim carpeting, and two-tone leather seating with matching side-panels. It’s one of the cleanest high end examples we’ve come across in years and it’s definitely a show-worthy, #2 classic.
