Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to offer this very cool 1976 MG Midget Convertible. The MG Midget is a small two-seater sports car produced by MG from 1961 to 1979. It revived a name that had been used on earlier models such as the MG M-type, MG D-type, MG J-type and MG T-type. To meet US federal regulations, large black plastic-covered bumpers were added to the front and rear and the ride heights were increased. The increased ride heights affected handling, and anti-roll bars were added to help with the higher center of gravity. This sporty little convertible has a read exterior in good condition with a black vinyl manual soft top, black bumpers, chrome rear luggage rack, and alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. The black vinyl interior flows well with the exterior and is also in good condition. The interior features sport bucket seats. Powering this MG is claimed to be the factory 1493cc Inline 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with 56,735 miles. If you are looking for a survivor MG Midget, this is the car you have been searching for. Options on this 1976 MG Midget include: AM RADIO, CONVERTIBLE TOP, SPARE TIRE, JACK, SEAT BELTS, VINYL INTERIOR.
