Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1936 Pontiac Convertible. The current owner has enjoyed this car for almost 10 years and is ready for it to go to a new home. According to the owner, the car was "gone through" about 8 years ago and upgraded to a 12-volt electric system. Also, a Mustang II front suspension and power brakes were added. Walking around this '36 one should notice the gloss blue paint that is offset nicely with the tan convertible top. Adding to the curb appeal would be the chrome bumpers, butterfly opening hood, crème-colored wheels with chrome baby moon hubcaps, and chrome handles. The Saddle leather seats flow well with the exterior theme. The steering wheel and dash are painted a crème color that offsets the Saddle. Powering this convertible is claimed to be a Chevrolet 250 CID Inline 6-cylinder engine that is mated to a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. The owner claims that the drivetrain was rebuilt in 2014 and an estimated 30k miles have been driven since. If you are looking for a sharp 30's convertible, this Pontiac could be the one for you.

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
