Pontiac Firebird 8 cylinders 400 1969

General description : This 1969 Pontiac Firebird 2 Door Coupe (Stock # P10517) is available in our Pleasanton, CA showroom and any inquiries may be directed to us at 925-484-2262 or by email at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.
Rare, Powerful 1969 Pontiac Firebird Coupe
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1969 Pontiac Firebird 2 Door Coupe with gorgeous red exterior paint and an upgraded parchment interior.  This fierce muscle car has been fully overhauled with a YS 400 cid V-8 engine under the hood with lower compression heads, a 3.55 limited slip differential, a turbo 400 automatic transmission, Vintage A/C, an electronic ignition w/ a Hi torque starter, a four core radiator with an electric secondary Fan, factory tilt steering and a vintage stereo system with an Aux. connection.  This muscle car is in excellent mechanical shape as well and it is ready to be driven today!
Only 15,000 Miles on Fully Overhauled Drivetrain
The current owner of this 1969 Pontiac Firebird purchased it back in late 2005 as the 3rd lifetime owner and the odometer showed 45,622 miles on it at that time.  We do not know if that’s original lifetime miles (now at 75,219), but we do have extensive documentation on file showing the investment in this classic vehicle.  The drivetrain was overhauled within the last 15,000 miles with low compression heads so it can run smoothly on premium unleaded fuel without additives.  It’s also been stripped down to bare metal in 2013 and painted/polished with no orange peel, plus you’ll find new LED tail lights, a new dash bezel, 3-point seat belts, and new carpeting, trim, emblems, bumpers and hood tach.
The parchment interior is also a recent upgrade and this ’69 Firebird was really tastefully finished throughout.  You will find some minor blemishes but overall, this muscle car really impresses in person.
Additionally, this 1969 Pontiac Firebird 2 Door Coupe starts easily and really performs at a high level on the open road.  The 400 V-8 motor sounds fantastic and the acceleration is instant, plus the upgraded transmission shifts effortlessly throughout the gears.  The stopping power is also above average and this powerful vehicle doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed as a high end driver today.
Ready to Be Driven & Enjoyed Right Away
Overall, this 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a beautiful driver-quality muscle car that can be driven and enjoyed right away.  With extensive upgrades and fantastic documentation, this one’s available at a steal of a price and it’s ready to enjoy.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Pleasanton, California showroom, give us a call at 925-484-2262, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # P10517 as well.

About Pontiac

Position in GM Hierarchy:
Distinct Identity: Pontiac occupied a unique place within GM, known for its performance-oriented vehicles and youthful branding.
Mid-Level Brand: Positioned above Chevrolet but below the more upscale divisions such as Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac, Pontiac aimed to offer affordable yet sporty cars.
History and Notable Models:
Pontiac GTO (1964-1974):
Iconic Muscle Car: Considered the first true American muscle car, blending performance and style.
Specifications: V8 engines, powerful performance, and aggressive styling made the GTO immensely popular.
Pontiac Firebird (1967-1981):
Muscle Car and Pony Car: Shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, featuring distinct Pontiac styling cues.
Variants: Offered various models and engine options, including the Trans Am, which gained fame through movies like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.
Evolution: Over the years, it transitioned from a performance-oriented car to a more luxurious offering.
Pontiac Bonneville (1957-2005):
Flagship Model: Started as a full-size car, evolving into a luxurious and technologically advanced vehicle.
Innovation: Known for introducing features like fuel injection, making it a symbol of Pontiac's technological advancements.
Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
