As most collectors already know, Plum Mist exterior was only available in 1967 and it was the rarest color option that Year.  PHS documentation shows that this rare 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible began its life as a 400 V-8 with a 4bbl carburetor and a Turbo 400 automatic with a Hurst shifter.  While the current owner kept the ultra-rare color combo to give a stock sleeper look, virtually every other aspect of this amazing classic has been extensively upgraded to make it faster, safer, cleaner and more efficient than the original.
This 1967 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible has been overhauled from the ground up in recent years to perform like a modern supercar without sacrificing its visual appeal.  The build started with the 6.2L GM crate motor and was finished with the best money can buy in high end accessories throughout.  The Whipple supercharger creates approximately 10 pounds of boost and this muscle car performs flawlessly in virtually any environment.  The ride quality cannot be understated since this vehicle is lightning fast and built with enough precision to handle all that glorious torque.
In terms of present condition, this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible does show minimal signs of wear to the exterior since the Plum Mist paint was applied before the ground-up restoration took place.  The exterior is near flawless though with exceptional body lines, beautiful factory chrome and period-correct wheels.  The parchment interior is equally impressive since it’s been restored 100% stock while the brand new engine compartment tells a completely different story.
Outrageously Quick Modern Day Performance with a Vintage Look
Out of the open road, this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible will bring a smile to your face as it screams through the gears and hugs the pavement like a modern sports car.  The braking is exceptional and modern LED lights ensure that visibility is excellent day or night.  The sound of the supercharger will bring a wide smile to your face as well while others simply stare in awe- this GTO does what few others have ever done before. Built to cruise at 80mph all day without any effort.  It wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to say that this may be the most dominant ’67 GTO ever…you have to see it in person to truly understand the amazing value.
Overall, this 1967 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible is a drastic upgrade on virtually every aspect of the beloved original, while still managing to pay homage to the spirit of the GTO.  To the naked eye it’s an ultra-rare bone stock classic on the exterior, and it will be up to you to decide whether the world discovers it’s modern, tire shredding nature.  You’re going to absolutely fall in love with this truly special muscle car!
