We have a unique 1953 Porsche 356 Pre-A 1500 S coupe available. Supplied from new to the New York Porsche dealer Hoffman on the 16th February 1953. The car we have is a Pre-A with the characteristic ‘Knickscheibe’ windscreen. The Pre-A was original basis on which all other 356`s were developed .It was also the very first car that Porsche took into serial production. This 356 has been fully restored and mechanically revised. The bodywork has had a bare-metal treatment whereby both in- and external aspects have been sprayed. The bodywork is as good as new with straight and perfect fitting body panels. The paintwork has a wonderful finish to it. The underbody is as good as new and, as one might expect, as splendid as the stuff on top. This is a meticulously documented rebuild, in which not a single detail was overlooked. Finished in ‘Sandgrau’ with a fantastic red leather trim. Add the fact that this ‘ Gesamtzustand 1’ concourse and extensively ‘Classic Data’ inspected 356 has only clocked up 311 km since restoration, and you can well imagine that this is a really special Pre-A 356 ‘Knickscheibe’!
