General description : 1977 Porsche 911 2.7 S in an exceptionally good, original and well looked after, the likes of which we seldom have the pleasure of being able to bring to market! The story of this Blue-plate car starts in California, the USA where, as far as we are aware, it had 2 owners. In 2006 it was exported to Germany where it stayed until 2016 with the same owner before ending up with its last owner. As stated above the car is in a superb original state with its nearly 100% first coat of paint and only minor cosmetic paint repairs. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago with invoices in support of this. It has had a recent major service and has been meticulously maintained throughout. In addition to the major service and amongst other improvements, the brakes were overhauled, the part of the suspension and the all shock breakers were replaced and the two front seats re-upholstered. The straight bodywork is pristine with perfect body panel fittings and wonderful paintwork and unrestored. The underbody is in a perfect state, totally original with the inside of the wings and the underbody being colour-coded. The splendid car interior features its first roof upholstery and carpets to mention a few details. Porsche have certified the matching numbers original engine and delivery colour of ‘Hellgelb’. Mechanically there are no worries as this car handles perfectly, with all instruments in perfect working order. It still has the original toolkit it came with. The car is richly documented with its known previous ownership, Porsche certification, valuation reports and many invoices. About Porsche 911 2.7
The Porsche 911 2.7 is a popular choice for hobbyist car enthusiasts due to its classic styling, excellent driving dynamics, and iconic status as one of the most recognizable sports cars of all time.

The 911 2.7 was produced from 1974 to 1977 and is known for its distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and its lightweight, agile handling. It was powered by an air-cooled, flat-six engine that produced 150-175 horsepower, depending on the model year.

For hobbyist car enthusiasts, the 911 2.7 can be a rewarding project due to its relatively simple mechanical design and the availability of aftermarket parts and upgrades. Restoring or modifying a 911 2.7 can be a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing enthusiasts to customize the car to their individual preferences and create a one-of-a-kind driving machine.

One potential drawback of the 911 2.7 as a hobbyist car is its age, which can lead to issues with rust, wear and tear, and mechanical problems. However, with proper care and maintenance, these issues can be addressed
