Porsche 911 / 964 964 Backdate 1990

General description : ABOUT THIS CLASSICThis 1990 Porsche 911/964 Backdate is all for the Porsche driver that wants just that little bit extra. This Backdate was created by a Porsche collector that wanted more out of his Porsche 964. The entire car was restored to the highest level where numerous parts were renewed and upgraded. The car has Bilstein suspension with all integral parts renewed for better road handling. The engine was rebuilt by the renowned Porsche specialist Van der Gugten in the Netherlands and some more horsepower was added to the engine. A custom Cup exhaust was fitted to reflect the sound of the air-cooled Porsche six-cylinder engine. The brakes were also upgraded to the Porsche 993 Turbo brakes to give some extra stopping power. The entire interior was refinished with fresh alcantara. The owner who is an avid collector is parting with the car as he has commenced a new project and needs the garage space for his other project. The car is registered in Belgium and is ready for use. Call 0031623679846 for more information. We ship to any location in the world. Ask our partner FreightHammer for a free shipping quote! About Porsche 911 / 964
The Porsche 964 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 models produced between 1989 and 1994. It was the successor to the Porsche 3.2 Carrera and was designed to be a more refined and modern version of the classic Porsche 911.

One of the major changes in the 964 was the introduction of an all-wheel-drive system, called the Carrera 4. The 964 was also the first Porsche 911 to feature power steering, anti-lock brakes, and an airbag as standard equipment. In addition, the suspension was updated to provide a smoother ride and better handling.

The 964 was powered by a range of engines, including a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six, a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, and a 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six. The top-of-the-line 964 Turbo S was capable of producing 385 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest production cars of its time.

Today, the Porsche 964 is considered a classic sports car and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. While it may not have the same level of performance as some of the newer Porsche 911 models, the 964 is still a thrilling car to drive and offers a unique driving experience that is difficult to replicate with modern cars.

As a hobbyist car, the Porsche 964 is popular among collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy working on and restoring classic cars. Its relatively simple design and mechanics make it a good choice for those who are interested in learning about automotive restoration and maintenance.

Overall, the Porsche 964 is an important part of Porsche's history and remains a beloved car among automotive enthusiasts around the world. Its unique combination of classic styling, modern features, and high performance capabilities make it a true icon of the Porsche brand.
