Highly Desirable 1970 Porsche 911E Targa Top
The next incredible classic sports car in our Pleasanton showroom is this gorgeous 1970 Porsche 911E 2 Door Targa with Jaguar Green exterior paint and a tan vinyl interior. You’ll find an upgraded 3.2L six-cylinder engine under the hood paired with a five-speed manual transmission, which produces approximately 100 horsepower over the factory motor and makes this classic a lot of fun to drive. It's in very nice overall shape as well and this beautiful sports car is ready to drive and enjoy right away.
Tastefully Upgraded by Current Owner in 2000
The current owner of this 1970 Porsche 911E Targa purchased it back in 1997 as the 3rd owner and he informs us that this is a lifetime California classic. This was a highly original classic when he took possession fresh off a cosmetic restoration with updated paint, a soft-back style rear window and some light refreshing of the chrome. The engine was also upgraded to a 3.2L motor out of a 1985 Carrera around the turn of the century and all the work was well-documented.
In terms of present condition, this 1970 Porsche 911E Targa has a gorgeous exterior with very nice body lines and near-flawless paint. You will find a few minor blemishes but otherwise, this classic is show quality and it would make an excellent high end driver. The interior and trunk compartment are also super clean with very little visible wear. Although this is an older restoration, this classic sports car drives excellent with prompt acceleration, excellent handling and simply a great overall feel on the open road. It’s ready to enjoy today.

About Porsche 911 Early LWB
The early Porsche 911 long wheelbase models, also known as the "L" models, were produced from 1968 to 1973. They were named so because of their longer wheelbase, which increased by 2.4 inches from the previous models. The longer wheelbase provided a smoother and more stable ride, and also allowed for more interior space.The long wheelbase models were powered by air-cooled, flat-six engines, with displacement ranging from 2.0L to 2.4L. They were available in coupe and Targa body styles, and were equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. Notable features of the long wheelbase 911s include their distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and Fuchs alloy wheels.
These early 911s are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, pure as swb cars but easier to drive and handling better.
