General description :
With the introduction of the new Porsche 901 in 1963, which was then called the 911, Porsche’s success story went uphill. In each model year, there were refinements in equipment and technology, which did not dampen the buying mood of customers. From 1970, the new development chief Ferdinand Piëch got involved. The engines got more displacement, the curb weight dropped. Our Porsche 911 T, first registered in October 1969 in Cologne (Germany), always remained in Germany and was restored by the current owner. Engine and carburetor were done at the Matthias Höing GmbH in Hamburg (Germany). The Targa in its paint turquoise-green, inside with black/white fabric, is gorgeous. The early years of construction in perfect quality are always sought-after pieces of art and not so easy to obtain.

The early Porsche 911 long wheelbase models, also known as the "L" models, were produced from 1968 to 1973. They were named so because of their longer wheelbase, which increased by 2.4 inches from the previous models. The longer wheelbase provided a smoother and more stable ride, and also allowed for more interior space.
The long wheelbase models were powered by air-cooled, flat-six engines, with displacement ranging from 2.0L to 2.4L. They were available in coupe and Targa body styles, and were equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. Notable features of the long wheelbase 911s include their distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and Fuchs alloy wheels.
These early 911s are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, pure as swb cars but easier to drive and handling better.
