General description :
At Porsche, the ever-growing thirst for performance was to be satisfied with a newly developed six-cylinder engine. The new body design kept it recognizable, but offered significantly more space than the predecessor 356. The 1963 'master model' was built with some detail changes until mid-1973. The early 911s with a short wheelbase (SWB = short wheel base) built until mid-1968 are today particularly rare and sought after. Our Coupe is from the model year 1967 and is thus one of these early original vehicles. It was originally delivered to the USA. The colour scheme and the artificial leather finish correspond to the delivery condition. This 911 is restored, but still offers a high level of original substance. The engine was completely rebuilt at a Hamburg specialty company and also the Weber carburetors were subjected to a thorough renovation. Enjoy this original and ready to use iconic sports car.

The Porsche 911 Short Wheelbase is indeed a collector's dream car. It refers to the first generation of Porsche 911s produced between 1963 and 1967, with a wheelbase of 2,211 mm (87 in) for the early models and 2,268 mm (89.3 in) for later models. These cars are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts due to their classic design, raw driving experience, and historical significance as the original 911 model. The earliest models, such as the 1964 901, are particularly rare and valuable.
