General description : We have a stunningly unique 1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 34 1600 available. We also have the original so-called ‘Fahrzeugausweis’ (the vehicle registration document) confirming the car was supplied to a client in Zurich, Switzerland in March 1966. VW developed this new 4-seater in collaboration with Ghia. When the Type 34 came to market in 1961 it was as expensive as the Porsche 356. Today less than 1500 examples worldwide remain on the Type 34 register. The car has been completely restored and mechanically overhauled. The bodywork is splendid with straight and perfect fitting body-panels. The underbody is as good as new and totally uncorroded. The red leather trim is in extremely good condition and has retained all the original features. Thanks to the fully revised 1600 engine by a renowned Dutch VW specialist, the car is mechanically 100% A-OK. It has just been run in and comes with a 2-year guarantee! All this has supporting documentation in the form of invoices amounting to over 7.500 euro`s. This unique Karmann 34 with its stunning lines is surely a thing of beauty to behold!
