Chevrolet Apache 6.2 LS3 575 Lingenfelter Motor 1959

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1959 Chevrolet Apache - Big Window Fleetside In this business we have undoubtedly seen a large number of classic and custom vehicles.  They span from the beautiful original history pieces to over the top customs.  While there isn't really a single classic we don't have an appreciation for, occasionally one comes along that just checks all the boxes.  This 59 Apache is one of them.  From front to rear this truck is packed full of small little details that really take it to the next level.  Plus, it is an Apache!  You don't see many trucks out there getting built to this caliber which really makes this one stand out.  Something about it just exudes that magazine cover car quality.  It doesn't matter if we are talking about the paint, finish, drivetrain, or interior...every piece of this beautiful custom was given the same attention.  It was a full frame off build where no expense was spared.  Walking up to the truck it is obviously a custom but the key to well built ones like this is making those customizations so subtly that they don't just jump out at you initially.  It's as though you know it obviously looks different from the originals but....how?  At least that is the common feeling we get on such quality builds.  So lets start with the outside.  The Fleetside Apache has beautiful body lines to begin with and this one is laser straight.  The Hugger Orange paint is absolutely beautiful and if the color doesn't grab your attention the Tangelo Custom Flames certainly do.  If you have been around these things for a while there is a good chance you have heard of "House of Kolor" paint.  Well this truck was actually painted by the company in St Louis.  You can bet if a vehicle is being painted by the actual company selling the paint there is no chance it is leaving the shop without being absolutely perfect.  One cool thing they did with the flames was actually continue the accents to the tops of the door frames.  This is a very subtle customization that goes to show how detail oriented the build was.  This is an original Big Window Fleetside which is the more rare version for this year and Big Windows have shown to only gain popularity in recent years right along side the popularity of classic trucks general.  The glass is all tinted and in excellent shape throughout.  The chrome all has a mirror like finish as well from the grill and bumper all the way back to the rear gate handle.  The rear bumper has been removed to show off that smooth custom rear roll pan and the front fender trim has also been removed.  The LED headlights may just look like standard headlights at first but the halo ring on the outside has the ability to change colors giving the truck another cool accent that you can easily adjust yourself.  It also has LED taillights and in the original hook points for the tailgate white LED running lights have been added.  The wheels are 18 inch Billet Specialties wrapped with Blacked out low profile tires.  We talk about the stance of vehicles a lot because the way a car sits adds so much to its personality.  Well with the fully adjustable air bags you can drop it to the ground, give it an aggressive rake, or stand tall.  It is easily adjustable and when it is time you go you can dial in the perfect height for a smooth ride.  When we said every aspect of this truck was given the same treatment, we weren't lying because the drive train is just as impressive is the paint.  Had you been paying attention to the pics you may notice a small hint on the rear gate emblem of what this truck is packing under the hood.  It is now sporting a 6.2L 575hp LS3 Lingenfelter motor which as you can imagine runs EXTREMELY well.  Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is responsible for putting some of the highest performing Corvettes and Camaros on the road and for over 44 years is a staple in the Performance industry.  The engine has been fitted with a custom pinstriped Holley EFI system and BBK cold air intake for maximum performance.  Lets be honest, that is a cool looking motor.  Then surrounding it with beautifully painted to match panels, chrome hinges, a polished aluminum Wizard radiator, braided lines, a chrome booster, serpentine belt system and custom front gap cover results in an engine compartment you should be extremely proud to show off.  Even the under side of the hood is covered with high quality paint and features hidden details like the "Just a little bit old school" written out on the support.  Backing that motor is a 4L70 automatic transmission with overdrive and a shift kit.  The suspension was fully reworked with tubular A arms, a Scotts Superslam front end, Scotts ladderbars and both Ride Teck Air Ride and shocks.  This is a more modern air bag system that uses separate bags and shocks which greatly improves the ride compared to more primitive air bag systems.  The truck has a Ford 9 inch rear end under it with 3.50 gears and Strange axles.  Other modern comforts include the power rack and pinion steering as well as power CCP 4 wheel Big Disc brakes.  The truck wasn't built to just look pretty on a trailer, is was built to perform on the road as well.  That shouldn't keep you from showing off the undercarriage though because it is very worthy of mirrors underneath.  In fact, if you didn't check out the bottom you would be missing out on things like the custom stainless tank with mirrored flames that are just super cool.  We couldn't move on from the mechanical side of this truck without mentioning one of our favorite features...the sound!  It has custom Spintek exhaust that sounds great to begin with but if you really want to perk up your neighbors just hit a switch on the dash and the electric cutouts unleash a sound that will have ever hotrodder around wanting to find the source.  Moving to the interior the level of high quality detail continues to remain strong.  The adjustable high back bucket seats feature beautiful Black leather upholster with custom Orange diamond stitched inserts.  They sit to each side of a custom center console which provides both storage space and an area for all of your air ride controls, AC/Heat controls and the custom Kenwood stereo.  The dash features the same slick Orange paint with some custom pinstriping on the glove box.  The original gauge cluster area has now been fitted with Dakota Digital Analogue gauges.  From the drivers position you will have all of your controls easily in reach and be looking down over the custom steering wheel and painted to match tilt column.  If you have read many of our ads you will notice a similar trend where we talk about the exterior, then engine, then interior.  Well we are braking the mold here because this truck also features a custom bed that deserves much more than a sentence to describe.  It was created using a Brazilian Cherry wood that complements the Orange body perfectly.  These are separated by nice chrome runners in the middle and then painted to match ones on the side.  You will note that the center of the bed was raised which accommodates the air ride system and notching the chassis.  The sections of bed near the custom flamed wheel wells are slightly lower.  But the fun doesn't end there!  Near the rear of the bed you will find the chrome gas cap but towards the front on each site there are two removable panels.  You can remove these panels (1 on each side) to gain access to the Yellow top Optima batteries with a very high end CH cut off system. There is no doubt in our minds that while describing this truck we will leave something out.  Power windows? It's got them.  Aftermarket wiring?  Of course, by Painless.  It is one of those vehicles where everywhere you look you will find something.  We however guarantee that if there is something we forgot, we know it will be top of the line.  Any builder out there will tell you the cost to create this truck is double our asking price.  So jump on this opportunity to own one of the coolest old trucks every made at a pretty heavy discount.  Bring this Apache into your collection for $69,000.00!
