Chevrolet Bel Air 283 V8 1957

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1957 Chevrolet BelAir You just stumbled upon one of the most unique 57s out there.  You may not notice it at first but this car was ordered with a lot of rare factory options you don't see on a lot of these cars.  There are over 20 of them!  It includes power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust, the 4 barrel carb, tissue dispenser, Wonderbar radio with rear speakers, dual rear antennas, a padded dash board, exterior door nail guards, rain gaurds on all the windows, back up lights, fender skirts, spinner hubcaps, the locking gas cap, clock, electric wipers, window washers, extra bumper gaurds, air conditioning, tinted eze eye glass, and drivers side spot light with side mirror.  Seeing all of this in place is really neat and makes the car a bit different from your average 57.  Most people don't even realize all of these factory options were available!  It is clear this car was going to a home that wanted all of the best features they could get.  The car underwent a frame off restoration in the past and has been primarily senior owned.  It is used mostly as a show car so the miles put on it (15,000 since redone) are very conservative and it is always stored indoors.  The car is totally rust free and painted in Sierra Gold with a White top.  It is a true BelAir as well as a factory V8 car per the VIN number.  The wheels on it look great and it just received a new set of wide white wall radial tires. Under the hood is the original 283 cubic inch motor that runs well.  It has been gone through but an effort was made to use as many original parts as possible.  The owner assures us he would trust the car to drive anywhere.  It was originally a 2 speed automatic car but the transmission has been swapped out for a 700R4 with overdrive to make it a little more highway friendly.  As mentioned before it was special ordered with power steering and power drum brakes so it is a really comfortable car to drive. The interior of the car is done in Adobe Beige and Black with White accents.  It is in great condition and is where you will see a lot of the factory add ons like the tissue dispenser and padded dash.  Everything has a stock original look and is all working properly.  It has a bench seat in front and rear with lap belts.  The trunk is nicely carpeted over the original rubber mat and houses the spare wheel and jack equipment.  This is a really unique '57 that would be right at home in any collection.  With all its unique factory options it always stands out next to other tri five Chevys.    It is being offered up at the very reasonable $29,500.00!
