Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this survivor, 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air. This cool old 53 Bel Air 2 door hardtop is a rare gem. The seller claims it's all original survivor but has no documents to back it up. That said, the patina and overall condition makes a strong argument for the claim. The mint green paint has fading in the usual spots for a near 70-year-old car that's spent time outside as well as weathered chrome on the bumpers and some of the grill trim. There's no rot on the body and the floors are in good shape. The interior is wrapped in two-toned green and vinyl and cloth interior with good paint on the dash and sharp looking chrome trim through the interior. The 'stove bolt' inline six runs well and the three-speed column shift manual helps move the car along in a smart classy manner. It's a good runner but needs a little TLC. A solid driver while you tinker; a 1953 Bel Air that can be enjoyed as is or restored or customized into a real head turner. This 2-door hardtop 1953 Chevy Bel Air is the most desirable body style after the convertible. It's in great shape and priced to move!
