Chevrolet Corvette ZZ4 V8 1969

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Description
Wow, a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette with dual chrome bumpers, a hot 350 ZZ4 crate engine, a quick-shifting 4-speed, and a sizzling Plum Purple Metallic paint job all for a very affordable price? There's no catch, just a supercool resto-mod C3 Corvette with a few tricks up its sleeve. For those of you who don't mind turning heads and making grand entrances, this high-flying C3 coupe might be just what the doctor ordered for you.
Originally code 974 Monza Red, this Corvette now wears high-impact Plum Purple Metallic and we think it's fitting for a car with this much performance. Bright Plum undoubtedly attracts attention, especially when the sunlight hits all that metallic in the dark finish, and when a car looks this good, it's probably safe to say that more than a few guys dumped their European sports cars for a chance behind the wheel of America's fantastic plastic. Finished a few years back to a high driver-quality standard, this one is ideal for cruising and long-distance touring, and you won't cry every time it rains, yet it still looks good enough to make heads turn everywhere it goes. Things like the headlight doors, custom 'Stinger' hood, and T-tops all fit rather well, working together to give this 'Vette an aggressive curb presence that can't be matched by any classic. Chrome bumpers are always popular with Corvette fans, and as a first-year 'Stingray' (that's right, after taking a year off in 1968, C3 Corvettes were then known as one word 'Stingrays', a change from the C2 'Sting Rays') it also offers the trick hidden wipers that notably streamline the whole car's profile, and the removable rear window out back. And while they definitely add a bit of horsepower, the chrome side pipes are as much styling statement as performance enhancement, and the look better on this Corvette than on anything this side of a Shelby Cobra.
Code ZQ4 Black Vinyl is the name of the game inside, where there are only minor upgrades to be found, mostly because the Corvette really doesn't need any help to the original script. The comfortable bucket seats carry reproduction covers, there are plush replacement carpets on the floor protected with stock vinyl mats, and there's a fresh-looking steering wheel in the original style. The door panels might be original, although they still look very fresh as well and continue the OEM look, while the center console that splits the seats is all stock-spec as well. Factory gauges have bright, clear markings and a more accurate SunPro tachometer was laid over the original unit to mind the revs. A later Rampage AM/FM/CD/AUX radio is in the dash, and it's just begging for an upgrade, because you're going to want to spend a lot of time in this car, T-tops off and power windows rolled down, enjoying the road. The 4-speed shifter has the proper cue-ball knob, and the little plaque on the console gives you a few details about the original engine's specifications, a neat touch from GM.
Power comes from a strong-running ZZ4 350 V8 motor that's an improvement for just about any small block they were building in 1969. Installed in 2006, it's very neatly dressed and features all the best performance goodies, complete with a bright chrome air cleaner and matching finned valve covers, but the extra horsepower and willingness to rev sets this one apart. It's very tidy and ready to be shown off, and like any small block Chevy, it starts with a snarl, idles perfectly, and pulls hard with a ferocious snarl from those gorgeous side pipes fed through block-hugging long-tube headers. Aluminum heads, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, and gold-painted Bowtie intake provide that vintage Corvette sound and a big radiator keeps it cool under all circumstances. The chassis is original and not detailed for show, but has been maintained and includes things like newer bushings, a freshened power steering system, and of course 4-wheel disc brakes. Four handsome American Racing Torque Thrust wheels give it a custom look and carry fat 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 white-letter rubber all around.
Corvette ownership is within reach, and this cool '69 offers perks like a strong-running ZZ4 motor, a quick-shifting 4-speed, and a great color combination. Call now!
