From model years 1970 to 1974, the first-generation Dodge Challenger pony car was built using the Chrysler E platform in hardtop and convertible body styles sharing major components with the Plymouth Barracuda. The Challenger's longer wheelbase, larger dimensions, and more luxurious interior were prompted by the launch of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, likewise, a bigger, more luxurious, and more expensive pony car aimed at affluent young American buyers. Powering this One Family Owned Challenger is a 318 CID V8 backed by a 3 Speed Automatic transmission. This Challenger has been driven and passed down to members of one family since 1972, and has survived well in that 50 years, being owned in Ft Worth Texas, this Challenger is a solid and well-kept survivor.
