This 1938 Ford Pickup would stand out among any company of customs it might keep. The plush bucket seats are not only comfortable – they're adjustable. The steering column is also adjustable and offers up a striking chrome steering wheel, also upholstered in matching tan. A Blaupunkt AM/FM CD player sits at the ready to provide your own personal soundtrack and is in perfect working order. The interior is capped off by a distinctive, custom headliner that combines matching padded carpet and vinyl to great effect.
There's no doubt at all that its visual magnetism and abundance of eye-catching features both inside and out combine to make it look right at home while standing still on display, but this is a custom streetrod that's also been built with drivability in mind. The Chevy 327 4 barrel, crowned by an Edelbrock air cleaner and paired to a 3 speed automatic transmission, fires right up and underscores a readiness to hit the road any time you might want. It sounds very fresh – ready to take you anywhere. The powerplant develops plenty of power and exhales easily out of headers and into dual exhausts, giving it a rich but smooth sound. The Hurst shifter looks right at home in its conveniently located center console. Power steering and front power brakes further add to the drivability of this unique vehicle.
