Ford Custom Flathead V8 1951

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1951 Ford Custom After WWII the first new automobile design produced was the classic shoebox Ford.  The integrated fenders and boxed design paved the way for the look of vehicles that would soon come throughout the 50s.  They proved to be popular as well outselling Chevrolets by 10% in 1951.  This great looking shoebox is considered a custom model and has a lot going for it.  It has a really nice look and just had over $10,000 invested to make sure it was road worthy.  This includes a ton of new components throughout that is all documented with a stack of receipts that will come with the car.  The body is in great shape and all rust free.  It is coated in a nice Green metallic paint that has a nice shine and really looks good out in the sun.  All of the original chrome and stainless pieces are there and looking good except for the rear window frame but that does come with the car.  It has the factory rear fender skirts and front visor which really give it that vintage 50's look.  The car is very solid and totally rust/bondo free.  We have gone over the car with a magnet and closely inspected the undercarriage.  It isn't uncommon to see a few little rust spots on a car this age but we were actually surprised by how solid the floors and everything is.  The wheels look great and the 4 bar spinner hubcaps are brand new.  The wide white wall Coker radial tires (P205/75R15) were just installed and are part of the large list of improvements made to the car in 2018. The motor is the factory flathead V8 that runs well.  It has that stock original look and starts up smoothly.  A new super 7 carburetor was just added as well as all new exhaust.  Paired with the engine is a 3 speed manual transmission with a brand new clutch and pressure plate.  The front end has completely rebuilt including the drag link and the brakes were rebuilt as well including the wheel cylinders.  Other recent changes include the all new shocks with 2 inch lowering coil springs up front and a new steering box.  All of this work was professionally done and has resulted in a great driving and riding car.    The interior of the car is finished out in the factory style beige/grey upholstery with green on the door panels.  The carpet upholstery, and headliner were just completely redone.  Since the carpet is brand new rubber mats were installed to in both front and rear compartments to keep it protected.  The dash has a stock appearance and everything works.  Many people don't notice until you point it out but on the rear deck lid the original trunk lock and handle have been removed.  It helps to give it a nice clean look from the rear and the trunk is now opened by pulling a knob on the package tray inside the car.  This is a really cool car and you just cant beat that price.  Over $25,000 has been invested with $10,000 being put into it just this year.  The owner needs to get the car gone so he is listing it knowing he is taking a loss.  This is a good chance to get yourself in a nice running car with a ton of new components for much less than you would spend having it done yourself.  This is cool shoebox Ford could be yours for the reduced price of only $15,900.00!
