Highly Original 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1940 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Convertible with glossy black exterior paint and a brown vinyl interior.  You’ll find a factory correct 221 cid V-8 engine under the hood along with the matching 3-speed manual transmission and this nicely kept survivor has a lot going for it in person.  It also offers very dependable performance on the open road and one lucky collector is going to fall in love with this classic vehicle.

This 1940 Ford Deluxe Roadster has been enjoyed by three lifetime owners, the most recent of which took possession earlier this year.  He informs us that he was drawn to this particular example due to the tremendous original condition- practically everything is here that you would have found in the factory showroom almost eight decades ago.  As you can see from the photographs, the interior seating has been refreshed in recent years and the original instrument panel with working gauges is gorgeous in person.  There are some minor blemishes to be found both inside and out, but nothing that really detracts from this one’s overall curb appeal.
Additionally, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible has a well-kept engine compartment that looks highly original with typical levels of wear.  We do not know if the drivetrain has ever been rebuilt since the current owner did not receive a lot of its past history.  This one would make a perfect candidate for a complete restoration, however, since everything is here and in proper working order.  Fully restored, it could easily border on a six-figure classic.
