This 1977 Ford F-100 Ranger is a premium pickup that has been given solid investments along the way to keep it looking both correct and attractive. In the 70s, the Ranger package meant an upgraded and very stylish pickup. This one is complete with the stainless body line moldings that really showcase the straightness of this styleside pickup. Plus, mirror-like bumpers, bright dual exhaust tips, and upgraded Cragar SS wheels make for a terrific shining package. It's all seen quite vividly thanks to the factory-correct Raven Black paint that's used for a backdrop. The bed is even painted with black liner paint. But what has to be everyone's favorite part is the pinstriping. That bold red corrals the side trim and even appears on the tailgate to add extra distinction to an already standout pickup.
The other reason why the pinstriping is so nice is because it offers a preview of the interior color. And as you look at the Marti Report, this particular attractive black and red exterior/interior color combo was quite rare. The correct red bench seat was recently recovered, and a new correct dash pad and steering wheel were recently installed. But, just because this was invested correctly to feel like a 1970s time machine, doesn't mean you'll ever go wanting in the driver's seat. This pickup has some nice upgrades such as the retro-style AM/FM radio that has a modern digital tuner, and the factory air conditioning now blows cold on modern R-134a.
This truck was originally optioned with Ford's legendary 351 cubic-inch V8. And what you see today is the same displacement, but with a fresher attitude thanks to a replacement in 2014. It has a bit of flair with the bright air topper and valve covers. Plus, it exhales with authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. The full package feels nice on the road thanks to the C6 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and Ford's twin I-beam front suspension. Plus, you have the added road holding of front disc brakes to keep this F-100 cruising correctly.
