A well-preserved example of a top-of-the-line, full sized Ford is something to really notice. This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 has great color and its 390 V8, you hardly ever see them like this.

Over half a century later, and this Galaxie still looks showroom fresh. The Rangoon red paint has the kind of luster that will attract a crowd. But more than just great paint and body, the details are correct, too. It's such a complete and pristine package!

The upgraded red and black interior received just as much preservation attention as the exterior. So, everything inside is fresh and bright like a 1962-time machine. This level of care is fantastic to see in the top-of-the-line, full-sized Ford because there's plenty of great bright trim incorporated into the vinyl of the door panels and seats to makes this a very cool place to spend some time. The three-spoke steering wheel with bright inner trim is a vintage Ford favorite, and it's set in a machine-turned panel. As you gaze across the dash, you truly realize the level of care in this car with everything from the AM radio to the heat/defrost controls in remarkably well-preserved condition. The huge trunk even has the correct mat and a full-sized spare!

Open the hood for a true treat. The 390 cubic-inch V8 is authentic but has upgraded chrome valve covers and air cleaner. You even get factory stickers. This hardtop is more than just for showing off. This V8 is the ideal early '60s powerplant, both brawny and refined, making the performance seem almost effortless. In fact, one of the few upgrades were the addition of the HEI Distributor, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and headers tied into the dual exhaust system. This was just so that this classic could truly be driven. And it's a hardtop worthy of going the extra mile with power brakes, a four-speed manual transmission, and modern Michelin tires at each corner. You know you will likely never find another preserved classic this nice ever again.

Ford startete die erste günstige V8-Motor angetriebenes Auto 1932 1932 V8 war ein sofortiger Erfolg mit hervorragendem Handling und Leistung für viele weit mehr expansive Autos des Tages treffen. Nach erfolglosen Ferrari Nahme, als Enzo Ferrari hatte den Deal mit Henry Ford II, daß letzterer vor Wut kochen absolut abgeschnitten, wandte sich Ford zu Lola in Großbritannien zu produzieren einen Ferrari nach dem Spiel gegen Langstreckenfahrer . Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ford und Lola erstellt den mächtigen Ford GT40, die absolut zu schlagen Ferrari in Le Mans 24 mehrfach.

In Europa führte Ford einige der epischen Rennen und Rallye-Autos der 60er Jahre auf der Grundlage bescheidenen Familie Limousinen; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam und Escort 1600RS mit den ikonischen Cosworth BDA Motoren.
