Beautiful 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Phaeton Sedan
The next highly desirable classic to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Phaeton 4 Door Sedan with gloss black exterior paint, a tan soft top and brown leather and woodgrain interior.  You’ll find a 221 cid flathead V-8 engine under the hood with a three-speed manual transmission and this prestigious classic handles nicely on the open road.  With countless original parts/accessories and sensational curb appeal, you must see this beautiful convertible in person to truly appreciate all it has going for it.
Highly Original w/ Fantastic Body Lines
The current owner of this 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Phaeton purchased it all the way back in 1978.  He informs us that he has always loved this well-kept classic due to the high originality of the car and the condition it’s been kept in for nearly the past century.  As you can see from the photographs, the interior is absolutely immaculate with negligible amounts of wear to the period correct seating, gauges and steering wheel.  The carriage-like rear seat is also in excellent condition and provides ample room for a 3rd and 4th passenger.  Additionally, the exterior is in very nice condition with a nice shine to the paint and very clean body lines, so this stellar example needs very little to be a true standout in any serious collection.
In terms of performance, this 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Phaeton Sedan starts easily and has nice acceleration along the highway.  A closer inspection shows that many parts and accessories on this desirable classic appear to be period correct, although we cannot certify what may or may not be original on this 80+ year old classic.  As we mentioned earlier, this one really needs to be seen in person and test driven to truly appreciate- these types of highly original classics simply do not surface very often.
Enjoyed by Current Owner for Past 40 Years
