This example is equipped with Chevrolet's LS1 (5.7L/348CID) producing 345hp & 356 lb-ft of torque and is paired with the Borg-Warner 6 speed transmission and it's rear mounted transaxle, giving the C5's an almost even 51/49 weight distribution. And despite the 1998 engine displacement being the same as the C4âs LT1, this 5.7 liter engine was constructed of aluminum instead of iron and was a more aggressive, more durable design than its predecessor, even though the LS1 shared the same time-honored â440â cylinder block layout (meaning 4.40 inches from bore center to bore center) and the familiar 5.7-liter displacement label. This led to 0-60mph times in the mid-4 second range while still getting 18mpg city/25mpg hwy! The 1998 Corvettes is sitting on a newer set of Goodyear Eagles and came stocked full of standard options, so you can expect all the same in this one. Also included is the owners manual and a 2nd key & FOB.
