Here we have a 1968 Dodge Charger RT for sale. This is a Matching Numbers 440 Automatic R/T Charger that is finished in the correct color combo. World Renown for being one of the greatest American Muscle Cars ever built, the '68 Charger is sure to turn heads everywhere you go. And as you can see down the sides of it are arrow straight with all of the lines flowing seamlessly front to back. The panels all have an exceptional fit with the gaps being even and systematically. It's showcased by the Big Blue Metallic Paint that's accented by the White Tail Stripe which is the factory option. The paint has been redone in base coat clear coat and polished out to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. All the chrome and stainless on this Dodge has been kept polished to a brilliant shine. Up front we can see that the grill is in excellent condition with both headlight doors working as they should. Outback we can see the tail pan and all the lights and lenses are beautiful. All the glass in this Charger is equally impressive along with all the seals and weather stripping. To finish off the stance it's sitting on a new set of Magnum 500 Wheels with Firestone Wide Oval Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '68. On the inside it's done in the factory white and blue color scheme that flows perfectly with the exterior color combo. This Charger sports the bucket seats and console option. All the seats are in phenomenal condition form the pads to the covers. The console is equally nice with all the stainless having a brilliant shine. The door panels are done in white with the standard crank windows that all go up and down and have a great fit. Looking at the dash we can see that both pads are in great condition. The gauges are factory and in great condition and it also has the factory style AM radio. This '68 has the correct styled steering wheel as well. The headliner and visors are also done in white and have a great fit. Inside the trunk is all rock solid from the jam to the pan and has been detailed out with trunk mat, spare, and jack.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Dodge. Under the hood it's powered by the Matching Numbers 440 V8 engine. The detail here in the engine bay is beautiful as everything has a stock appearance and is clean as a pin. We can see the 440 is set up with the factory intake that has Edelbrock Carb. It's dressed in the factory air cleaner along with the factory valve covers. To keep it cool it has the correct Chrysler Radiator. This R/T comes set up with Power Steering and Disc Brakes on the front. When we look under this Charger, we can see that it looks to have all the original floor pans that are in phenomenal condition. The frame is all solid as well and doesn't show any signs of abuse. All the bushings in the front end are in great condition. The matching numbers 440 V8 is mated to the matching numbers Torqueflite Transmission that runs out to the correct 8 ¾” Rear End with the factory 3.23 Sure Grip Gears.
