Allmän beskrivning : Cars used to bought to be enjoyed for a long time. Who cannot remember that neighbour or uncle who seemed to have had the same car all throughout your youth? And probably on deeper reflection, that was exactly the case! People used to drive their cars for 10 to 20 years. The same counts for Virginia W. Anderson. She ordered her Ford Mustang GT Fastback in 1967 from Lamar Ford in Winchester, Virginia in the USA. It is impossible to enjoy a car for 44 years unless you have taken real good care of the vehicle. In this instance it is abundantly clear that extreme love and attention were lavished on this car. It is as if Mrs Anderson knew she would want to keep enjoying this car for nearly half a century (sadly we will never know if that was indeed the case). What we do know is that she meticulously accessorised the car form the outset. The car is a 4-speed manual, it has an electric clock, 14 inch wheels, power steering, an AM radio, set of stickers, heat shielding windows and luxury seat belts. This information is to found back in the accompanying Marti rapport. After 44 years the car was sold to the previous owner, a Belgium client, by a specialist car dealer. Before the car crossed the pond it had a modern aircon fitted. Today this Mustang is still in great shape. The Candy Red paintwork has been re-sprayed for purely cosmetic reasons and has been well maintained since then. The fine bodywork has correctly aligned body panels. Naturally, underneath the car all is rock solid and rust-free. The interior trim is in a lovely original condition. The car comes with an extensive file containing the original bill of sale and owner’s card. Quite a remarkable addition. Mechanically the Ford is in top form. The 390 Cu V8 engine runs superbly and remains amply powerful. The manual transmission shifts smoothly and precisely.
