Exceedingly Rare 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Hardtop
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2 Door Hardtop with Polar White exterior paint, blue center  stripe and a rare factory red cloth interior.  You’ll find a factory true “YZ-coded” Ram Air III 400 cid V-8 engine under the hood with the matching automatic transmission, a 12-both Posi traction rear end,  power steering , power front disc brakes and a factory 8 Track player.  This stunning PHS documented classic muscle car is in outstanding condition and one of only 1,339 produced in this stunning color combination.
Factory Original Drivetrain w/ Full PHS Documentation
This 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Hardtop was delivered new in 1970 to Galen Boyer Motors in Independence, Missouri.  It has been registered to four different owners throughout its life and we are informed by the current owner that the factory drivetrain was fully restored within the last 5,000 miles.  He was drawn to this particular example due to the full PHS documentation and the very rare red factory interior.  This desirable classic has also been painstakingly restored back to factory perfection mechanically and it’s one of the strongest running original examples we’ve come across in years.
In terms of condition, this 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am takes your breath away in person with a laser straight body and  quality exterior paint.  The firewall, inner fenders and underneath the hood have been also been painted blue to match the racing stripes/hood scoop and the entire exterior is virtually flawless.  The factory red interior is equally as impressive with an immaculate dash, instrument cluster, door panels, carpeting and seating.  Besides minimal levels of wear in the trunk compartment, this entire muscle car borders on very good condition and the gorgeous engine compartment with ample chrome will absolutely take your breath away.
Additionally, this 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am growls to life and offers fantastic acceleration at virtually any speed.  Out on the open road, handling is tight and responsive at highway speeds with ample braking power as well.  This is honestly one of the most impressive original examples we’ve ever test driven and likely among the top examples nationwide at this time.
