Allmän beskrivning : For sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1968 Cadillac Deville convertible. This fine example of a true classic land yacht convertible is in great shape. The Cadillac has been restored to show quality and is ready for its next adventure. The year was 1968 and while Apollo 8 was orbiting the moon and Steppenwolf's "Born to be wild" was riding the radio waves, this Cadillac was rolling off the showroom floor. Grab the keys, pop open the door, and step back into history. The exterior is painted in a sky blue metallic while the interior is comprised of navy blue leather. Of course, this luxury cruiser is fully loaded optioned with: power seats, automatic convertible top, AC, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, jack, spare tire, power windows, tilt wheel, and white wall radial tires. Looking under the mile-long hood you’ll find a well detailed 472 CID V8 big block engine backed by an automatic 3 spd transmission TH400 transmission. The massive 7.7L V8 produces 375 HP which helps this Deville power down the long highway. In 1968 the grille had an insert with finer mesh and step down outer section which held the rectangular parking lights just a little higher than before. Rear end styling was modestly altered with the deck lid having more of a rake. The most obvious change was an 8.5-inch-longer hood designed to accommodate recessed windshield wiper-washers, which now came with three speeds standard.
