Beim Delahaye Esterel handelt es sich um ein einzigartiges Automobil, welches zu den ersten Nachkriegsmodellen von Delahaye gehört. Das Fahrzeug ist ein Unikat, dessen Karosserie vom berühmten Kutschenbauer Alphonse Guillore angefertigt wurde. Das Fahrzeug ist mit den technologischen und stylistischen Raffinessen der frühen Nachkriegszeit ausgestattet. Der Reihensechszylinder produzierte serienmäßig 160 PS und wird von drei Doppelvergasern versorgt. Beim Getriebe handelt es sich um ein Cotal 4-Gang Vorwahlgetriebe, welches es ermöglicht die beträchtliche Leistung komfortabel auf die Straße zu bringen.

Der Delahaye Esterel taucht auf einem Bild vom 1.September 1949 auf, welches während der Motor Show 1949 in Paris aufgenommen wurde. Das Bild, welches im Paris Match Archiv vorliegt, belegt die Historie des Fahrzeuges und legt nahe, daß dieses Fahrzeug auf der Motor Show 1949 in Paris vorgestellt wurde. Das Foto belegt ebenfalls den originalgetreuen Zustand der Karosserie.
Der Delahaye Esterel wurde zuletzt in den 1980ern voll restauriert, es handelte sich zu diesem Zeitrahmen um ein Museumsfahrzeug und wurde in den 2000ern in der Originalfarbe lackiert. Dementsprechend hat das Fahrzeug eine authentische Patina und sollte dennoch innerhalb kurzer Zeit in Betrieb genommen werden können.
