This custom pickup is striking from every angle, so we'll just start at the front. The fascia has a great retro and custom tone thanks to the blacked-out appearance that gives way to those bright round headlights. And when you combine it with those push-style bumper forks, it looks ready for the racetrack. As you move along the body, your eyes are constantly picking up on custom elements like the hood vents, shaved door handles, custom taillights, smooth tailgate and the custom tonneau cover with integrated spoiler and their brake light. There's even liner paint in the bed in case you do decide to use this for true pickup duty! But more than just recognizing the custom pieces, you should also appreciate the reason why you can see them so well. Super-straight sheetmetal combined with the level of gloss and shine on the black gives this one instant respect. In fact, the detail work is so good, just check out the wheels more than just steelies with cool spinner caps, those 15-inch Super Soft 8 units have bright rivet work that makes sure this one can impress no matter if they're across the parking lot or one-inch away.
There's nothing better on a black exterior than a red interior. When you open the door, the contrast between the outside paint and the vinyl on the seats is like looking at a vampire after a fresh kill. That description might seem like an exaggeration, but it's necessary to try and describe the aggression this pickup radiates just by standing next to it. But the means looks are just the beginning. The red is part of a custom coordinated attitude that you instantly see the moment you take a look at the dash. This custom unit has a design borrowed from the 1959 Chevrolet. It even has the cool pod-style gauges. But the '50s Chevys didn't come with all these updates, like a large tach below the tilt column, cup holders, heat/defrost sliders, a grippy three-spoke steering wheel in a matching red, and a Schlitz beer tap handle shifter. It's a truly thoughtful build, right down to the AM/FM cassette stereo integrated into the headliner so that the dash can be as smooth and clutter-free as possible.
Under the hood the red and black attitude continues as the painted valve covers look like they are radiating power from within the dark engine bay. And backing up this aggressive appearance is a strong Chevy 350 cubic-inch V8 that's been enhanced with go-fast goodies like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers. That last one not only adds power, but also contributes to the rumble of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. And while this is a mean machine for the streets, there's much more to this custom pickup. It has a power steering, a thick front sway bar, front disc brakes, and four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive. So the custom that you'll love showing off also easy to take near or far... that sound like the perfect combo!
