Chevrolet El Camino 350 V8 1970

General description : SWEET '70 EL CAMINO, 350 V8, AUTO, PS, PB W/FRNT DISCS, NICE PAINT, GREAT DRIVER

Without a doubt the gentleman's pickup is a unique piece of the classic American automotive landscape. With great glossy paint, a comfortable bold interior, and plenty of V8 power, this 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS is an awesome and affordable vintage machine.
This is one of the most iconic years for the style of the Chevelle/El Camino. But more than just the best designed sheetmetal, the paint provides an instant attraction to this El Camino. Red is always an striking color, but you can tell from the high gloss presentation that someone cared about attracting all the right attention. And we all love the look of those painted black stripes against the bold red. This is a true uniform color package as the black vinyl roof and the black bed paint match the accent color and add a premium touch. Plus, this one has all the right aggressive pieces like the blacked-out SS grille, hood pins, and proper cowl induction hood. And while this has a truly muscular presence, we know that no classic American can be complete without good brightwork. That's why you have a mirror-like shine on everything from the newer bumpers to the 15-inch Rally wheels.
Inside is more of this terrific color coordination. It starts with the red and black returning on the custom bench seat. Not only does this look great, but also you'll appreciate the comfortable cloth inserts. This one has a bit of a premium feeling with the wood appearance on the dash and the upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo. But once you grab the more modern Chevy sports steering wheel with your left hand, lay your right one on the B&M shifter, and see the full auxiliary gauge trio, you'll soon realize that this El Camino is all about being a driving machine.
This 350 cubic-inch V8 is going for a bit of a mean streak with the black painted block blending in with the fresher hoses and fan shroud. But what you'll really like is that this crate motor has been enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and ceramic-coated headers. It fires up nicely, and there's a fine rumble from the dual exhaust... but this one is much more than just great V8 rumble. The Chevelle connection is felt on the road with a nice car-like ride that's backed up by great driving features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front sway bar, newer bushings, and front disc brakes.
When you can get iconic sheetmetal, great coordinating colors, and plenty of power all for such an affordable price, well then, you know this El Camino SS is a deal that will be gone soon. Don't miss out, call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
