Ford Bronco 1975

General description : The vintage 4×4 market has been hot for years and just like their performance car brethren, '60s and '70s 4×4 pickups and particularly SUVs have seen a boom in demand for turn-key restomods that bring modern power and reliability. And the first-generation Broncos are more popular than ever!
The vision for this 1975 Bronco was clear from the start; retain the vintage appeal while modernizing the driving experience. And the finished product offered here simply nails it.
To start, the truck was stripped down and evaluated. Upgraded suspension designed and ordered for the powder coated chassis and a new, Ford-licensed reproduction Bronco body shipped in to alleviate any concerns about the vintage sheet metal. The new body was also accompanied by a new grille, new non louvered hood, new doors, new tailgate and new hardtop.
Much consideration was given to the build including coordination of color combo, wheels, interior style, quality of finishes, creature comforts, etc. Every nut, washer and bolt was replaced, and where possible upgraded with stainless steel counterparts. Longevity and durability were also considered and supported by rugged underbody finishes and corrosion resistant hardware.
While a 435-hp 302 Windsor would be a snorting, rowdy machine that probably wouldn't idle below 1000 rpm, a modern Coyote V-8 delivers that kind of power with the mild manners of a petting zoo pony. Of course, a romp on the pedal quickly spins up the docile Coyote into its powerband. All while a custom, fully tuned, exhaust system allows for max performance with minimal drone. And thanks to the 6-speed automatic transmission, acceleration is smooth and controlled pulling the Bronco around on the highway at very comfortable engine speeds.
Much care and attention has also been given to ride quality. Back in the '70s, Ford never envisioned their short wheelbase 4x4 to be sustaining today's highway speeds, but with the aid of improved suspension geometry, Heim-jointed links, a tighter 3.75:1 steering box, corrected caster angles and custom radius arms using poly bushings, the truck has a confidence inspiring feel out on the road. But let's not forget that the point of a 4x4 SUV is to be totally capable offroad. That is where a premium James Duff 2.5in suspension lift, twin-stick transfer case and 35' Toyo all-terrain tires step in and shine.
Swing open the doors and you are immediately greeted by the extending power step that cleanly retracts when the door closes to preserve the impressive ground clearance. Inside, custom upholstered bucket seats flank a fully custom center console with built-in storage, a powerful touch screen stereo, and provisions for the twin-stick transfer case levers. Modernized gauges hung in a freshly restored dashboard, tilt steering column, power windows, and air conditioning are all welcome upgrades as well.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
