Begerenswaardige Volvo PV544 maar in Nederland ook bekend als 'Katterug' Nieuw werd ze geleverd in het Zweedse Edeby op 6 maart van 1964 aan mevrouw Jansson en zij heeft de Volvo in bezit gehad tot en met 2004! Volvo specialist de Vries bracht de auto naar Nederland en voerde een lichte restauratie uit waarbij de carrosserie nieuw werd gespoten en ook kreeg de auto een goede tectyl behandeling. Ten tijde van de restauratie verkeerde de Volvo in originele en gave conditie enkel het lakwerk verdiende aandacht na 40 jaren, met het uitgevoerde onderhoud werd de auto klaar gestoomd voor zijn tweede leven. Nadat de ervaren garagist klaar was met de werkzaamheden zorgde de tweede eigenaar meer dan 13 jaar voor de Volvo alvorens wij de PV544 in ons vizier kregen. Nog altijd verkeert deze fraaie klassieker in een sublieme conditie, zowel carrosserie als chassis zijn krijt gaaf en uiterst strak! De originele kleur Slate Blue staat de auto formidabel en combineert perfect met het keurige chroomwerk. De stoelbekleding in het interieur is keurig en in het fraaie dashboard is het originele instrumentarium aanwezig en intact. Ook vloer- en hemelbekleding verkeren in een mooie en originele staat, een bijzonderheid voor de hoge leeftijd! Technisch werd er goed en met regelmaat onderhoud uitgevoerd, de auto is dan ook perfect rijdend. De bekende en geprezen B18 motor ligt onder de motorkap en wordt geroemd om zijn uitstekende prestaties maar ook bewezen duurzaamheid. Er is een zeer complete historie aanwezig in de vorm van veel facturen, verzekering- en keuringsdocumenten maar ook de originele handleiding en garantiebewijs.
