Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle SS! The Chevelle/Malibu is probably one of the most iconic muscle cars to have ever been produced. 1965 would be the beginning of its now well told story. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Ford Fairlane, and Plymouth Belvedere, and to return to the Chevrolet lineup a model similar in size and concept to the popular 1955-57 models. You're gonna like this one. The red paint shows off those muscular lines well and is in good shape. She is sporting 15" Rally wheels with Radial Tires. Inside you'll find two tone red and burgundy leather seats that are in very good order. There are red floorboard lighting for an even nicer ambience. Lurking under the hood is a 383 Stroker V8 engine backed by a 5- Speed Manual Transmission for better highway driving. If the sound of the engine doesn't get their attention the Dixie Horn will probably do the trick. She runs and drives out strong and sounds very good! The posi rear end and 3.73 gear ratio certainly help. Just built a few years ago the odometer shows just over 7300 miles and is since the rebuild. Car was repainted and also received a new interior. She has a large list of replaced parts/labor that total near $13,000! Motor is $3900 of that alone, not including the headers, intake, carb, polished valve covers and air cleaner. The list is extensive. Current owner has had her for over 3 years, acquired from a private owner. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. These cars were apart of the muscle car movement. Don't lose your chance to have this muscle car in your garage and call us today! Options on this Chevelle include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, AM/FM Radio, Seatbelts, Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
