Description : Gateway classic cars of Nashville is proud to digitally present this incredible 1949 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe Convertible. In a word, WOW! And this applies to everything from the paint to the tires. There was some serious work put into this dark gray paint job. From the lack of orange peel to the blue fine metallic in the paint, two words, deep and WOW! With smooth, soft, black Italian leather covering almost every surface in this car and black soft top this car stands out in a crowd. Powering this sweet classic convertible is a TPI 350 cubic inch V8 out of a 1991 Z-28 that had about 20,000 miles on it and get this, the transmission (700R4) and rear axle (10 Bolt) came from the same car. A Mustang II was sacrificed for the front suspension. Now sometimes a car is built with a plan and in the end, it looks great and drives like a road wagon, this car drives, rides and handles like a dream, no bumps, knocks or mystery noises that I have heard. Looking the car over from the outside it takes a minute to notice the custom touches as it just looks like Chevrolet should have built it this way. The interior with the late model suburban bucket seat with folding arm rest give away the updated touches however, some are still hidden from sight like the Nakamichi AM/Fm Cd player cleverly tucked into the original factory speaker compartment, clever I tell ya! Options for this 1949 Chevrolet styline Convertible include: AM/FM with CD player, Power convertible top, Cruise control, Power steering and disc brakes, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, Seat belts, Italian leather Why are Italian cows so soft?, Radial tire wrapped around Halibrand polished wheels. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
