LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS.

The seventh generation of Impala was in production from 1994 to 1996 and was the final generation of the SS. In bringing the Impala SS back one last time, GM gave the people the performance sedan that had been missing from the Chevrolet line up for some time. Although coming in at a heavyweight 4,200-lbs, the Impala SS could still go down a quarter mile in 15 seconds and reach 92MPH. That was quicker than the BMW 540i, and only half the price. The exterior was chrome-less and mean looking, while the interior featured such luxuries as air conditioning, leather steering wheel, power windows and seats, AM/FM and cassette, and full instrumentation. 1996 was the only year to see the automatic transmission shifter be placed on the floor instead of the steering column. Chevrolet would not make a performance sedan for another 18 years until introducing the modern Chevrolet SS.

This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS is as new now as it was when it was sold at Doyle Chevrolet in Webster, NY. It has only 19 miles on the odometer from new and has all seat plastic, steering wheel plastic, and dealer stickers still on the car. It even has its original window sticker still attached to the window. The air conditioning blows cold and it has power doors and windows. It is one of the few seventh generation Impala SS’s that did not roll out of the factory Black. It instead rolled out in Dark Cherry Metallic, that is still in remarkable condition. It is powered by a 260HP LT1 V8 engine and has DeCarbon Shocks with full coil suspension derived from the Caprice Police Car, that makes this a performance sedan not to be trifled with.
This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS still has the new car smell after only racking up 19 miles since leaving its original dealership of Doyle Chevrolet. Stored in a climate controlled environment and has been collector owned as all the Chevrolet protective plastics and dealership stickers are still present. You will be very hard pressed to find another 1996 Impala in such original new condition as this one.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
